Kupalle
On the night of July 7 people celebrate Kupalle in
Belarus. This is a festival of the sun and the midsummer. People say that on this
magical night animals and trees can talk to each other. Belarusian girls wear
national costumes and wreaths made of flowers. Then they put their wreaths on
water. People also usually jump over the bonfire, sing, dance and look for the
fern flower. If you find this magic flower, you will be always happy and lucky. Kupalle
is a very colourful and popular Belarusian festival.
